Ever considered there could be 3 easy Secrets that if you implemented, it could double or triple your sales?
When I was a Newbie trying to figure out how to get just 1 person to buy solar from me, I came across 3 Secrets that once I implemented, it changed everything for me.
What's crazy is, even though I have worked with other productive sales reps, I thought what I knew was universal and they were all using it...boy was I wrong.
Here are the 3 secrets and why they work...
If people buy from friends, the big question I had was "what can I do to become friends with prospective clients faster?"
If you have ever read the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, he mentioned it is easier to be interested in other people than it is to get other people interested in you.
This was a very useful starting place, so then the questions is how to implement the application.
Tony Robbins made a comment about selling that went something like this "you need slow down and take time with people."
It occurred to me when I visit with Mr. and Mrs. Customer I would start looking for a way to get them talking about themselves. My go to is usually "how did you guys meet?" and then listen to them tell their back story.
As they shared their story, I would usually ask "what was your first date?" "How long did it take you guys to get married after your first date?" I usually find a way to make a joke during the story...something like "she was looking hot and you decided she was the one for you!"
Where is what I realized, regardless of who you're actually meeting with, or if they are married etc., everybody has a backstory and they will tell you the things they want you to know about them. The secrets is, listen, let them disclose what they want you to know about them, and it makes becoming a friend much easier.
When I heard of the concept of sitting at the kitchen table it was presented to me as "decisions are made at kitchen tables."
